ARCHITECTURE DESIGN 1
REFLECTION
In these projects that I had spent time and passion on, I learnt from famous architects, artists and designers that inspired me to find a way to design in my own language. I also realize that a good idea needs developments, and knowledge can be the ladder to make development quicker. Therefore, I wanted to keep exploring in architecture design and find my own style. I appreciate that I have my friends along with me, learning from each other. I am grateful for the effective suggestion and experience shared by the tutors.
In conclusion, this is a good start of my study journey, started my thinking about future design in architecture.
DESIGN COMMUNICATION
REFLECTION
I think this module is important as what we learnt were basic skills and knowledge in architecture that needed in our future career. These skills become the foundation in the process of our design, and I think that practice makes perfect. Therefore I will use this knowledge to improve the quality of my future design.
Overall, I think online-based learning on this module does not influence my passion to study because the tutors are responsible and patient while teaching. I believe that I can still remember these lesson I had in design communication in the next few semesters.
ARCHITECTURE HISTORY AND THEORY
REFLECTION
In my opinion, I think history is a compulsory subject for an architecture student as it helps to connect the past wisdom and present innovation. I enjoyed to look into the historical building and amazed by the meaningful value and culture inside the form. For this module, the projects did help us to study the history by our own handwriting and sketching, and not by memorizing the tedious words of history.
The Lecturers also gave interesting lectures that include quiz sessions, Q&A sessions, and a lot of videos to help us memorize the point.
In conclusion, I found an easier way to study architecture history and those really helps me in my architecture design as I can learn from our ancestors, their wisdom should never be forgotten.
